Carolina Tigers Women’s Tackle Football Team Announces New Initiative Supporting First Responders and Military Families Through Partnership with Operation First Response

Winston-Salem, NC — 01/15/2026— The Carolina Tigers Women’s Tackle Football Team is proud to announce the launch of a new community initiative dedicated to supporting First Responders, Wounded First Responders, and military families facing unexpected hardship. Central to this initiative is a strategic partnership with Operation First Response, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization committed to providing emergency financial and family support to wounded veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders.

This partnership brings together women athletes and America’s heroes with a shared mission: to create meaningful, lasting impact beyond the playing field. Through joint programs, awareness efforts, and community engagement, the Carolina Tigers and Operation First Response aim to provide tangible support to those who serve our nation and communities every day, especially during times of crisis.

“Women’s football is about more than competition, it’s about purpose, resilience, and service,” said leadership from the Carolina Tigers organization. “Partnering with Operation First Response allows us to turn our passion on the field into real-world support off the field for military families and first responders who sacrifice so much for all of us.”

Operation First Response has built a national reputation for responding swiftly and effectively to families facing sudden injury, illness, or loss related to military or first-responder service. By aligning with OFR, the Carolina Tigers are strengthening their commitment to community leadership, service, and advocacy.

This initiative reinforces the Carolina Tigers’ broader mission of empowerment, unity, and community impact—using the platform of women’s tackle football to uplift and serve those who protect and defend others.
