Carolina Tigers Reaffirm Independence, Announce New Home in Winston-Salem, NC for 2025 Season

Winston-Salem, NC, November 13, 2024 — The Carolina Tigers Women’s Tackle Football Team is excited to announce a major development: rather than merging with the Carolina Scorpions, as previously planned, the Tigers will remain a proud, independent organization. This decision reflects the team’s commitment to building on its legacy and maintaining its unique identity within the sport.

In addition to this announcement, the Carolina Tigers will be relocating their home base from Charlotte, NC, to Winston-Salem, NC. This move aligns with the organization’s vision for growth and community engagement, allowing them to establish deeper roots in a new region while expanding their fan base.

The Tigers are also thrilled to share that they will join the American Women’s Football League (AWFL) for the 2025 season. Competing within the AWFL offers the team a dynamic new platform to showcase their dedication, skill, and spirit on a national stage.
